Enrollment – Applicant's biometric data (photograph, fingerprints, signature) and demographic/textual data is enrolled (captured) by Stationary or Mobile Enrollment Stations then stored and sent to a central database. |
Registry - Before the enrolled application records are uploaded to the permanent Central Registry database, they are validated against existing business rules, consistency of the declared birth-date with the photo; consistency of gender with photo; etc. |

Security – OTI’s system, Magna™ , includes security measures that cover every aspect of its usage and the usage of the produced documents. This begins from customized permissions that cover every functional subsystem and restrict access to specific users and computers. Cryptographic means protect the communication channels and magnetic media in order to safeguard the data. Security means in the preprinted document are combined with security means in personalization to provide a tailor-made security suite for each customer. Biometrics and cryptography enable highly secure uses of the produced document. At the end of the successful Data Validation, Biometrics and Security checks process, the application is approved for document issuing. |

Personalization – Blank documents are personalized with applicants’ record data by graphically printing onto the document and electronically writing to the chip. The document personalization process includes interfaces to Cryptographic systems (PKI-Public Key Infrastructure) as needed, to protect the data in the chip. |

Quality Assurance (QA) - The finished document undergoes a series of Quality Assurance tests, including visual and automatic Chip-content inspections. |
Delivery - Applicant signs on a shipment list to confirm receipt of the final document upon delivery. |
