 |
OTI's enrollment (registration) stations support capturing of:
Demographic data (text)
Biometric data, (photographs, fingerprints, hand geometry, iris, signature, and more)
Scanning of supporting documents
OTI enrollment stations
Are equipped with a variety of digital input/output and capture devices,
including (not limited to):
- Personal computer (desktop or mobile)
- Digital or web cameras
- Lighting Tripod + Photo background screen
- Digital fingerprint scanners, (1-finger (or 4-finger) fingerprint scanner)
- Scanners (to scan documents into the database)

- Digital signature pads or business card scanners – to capture Signature
- Smartcard readers - contact and contactless
- Enrollment receipt - receipt printers
- Backup devices – Either writeable CD/DVD or Disk-on-key (flash disk)

- and more
Two types of Enrollment Stations are available:
Stationary (fixed) Enrollment Stations
Typically equipped with the above components, the Enrollment Station configuration is obviously flexible and is usually adapted to meet each specific project’s requirements.
Mobile Enrollment Stations
| OTI provides fully-equipped Mobile (Portable) Enrollment Stations designed specially for hard-to-reach area and operated in harsh rural environments, VIP services, extra-enrollment reinforcement during peak periods, vacations and more |
|
 |
A Mobile Enrollment Station configuration is quite similar to that of a Stationary Enrollment Station, with the following changes/additions:
- A Laptop is used instead of a Desktop
- All the system components are packed into a ruggedized mobile suitcase (on wheels)
- Some of the components used, are specially chosen to be suitable for mobile use
- Mobile Power Center & Battery – Enables use of the workstation for an entire working day (8 hours) without continuous need to connect to the power network
System Functionality and Features
|
Modularity - The system infrastructure is modular which allows rapid adaptation to customer requirements
Peripheral Support – The system supports a wide range of peripherals
User Friendliness - The system is easy-to-use, user friendly and supports Multi-lingual features
Quality checks – Each data item captured (such as: photo, fingerprint, etc.) is checked on-the-spot - while the applicant is still present - for quality, using automatic tools
Security – The system incorporates various data encryption techniques to secure the enrolled data, such as: encryption of all data on media, cryptographic signing of application data, and other custom requests
Backup – The system includes hardware and software backup means (CDs, Disk-On-Key), which periodically and automatically backup the enrolled data
Data Transfer – The data is stored encrypted in a local database, and is transferred securely periodically to a Central Site, where the enrolled records are uploaded to a Central Database. The system supports Offline and Online modes of data transmission, either by using a WAN (Wide Area Network), or on portable electronic media devices (CDs, Disk-On-Keys).
Application Update – The software running on the capture station can be automatically upgraded with newer versions, which can be distributed from the center using the same distribution mechanisms mentioned above
